“I’m Too Busy”

I don’t believe you.

I’ve never believed that line, and I never will.

When a man tells me he’s too busy to commit to something, what I actually hear is:

“That’s not a priority for me right now.”

That’s fine. Just be honest about it.

We all have the same 24 hours.

You’re praying, eating, sleeping, working, and somewhere in there, you’ve got time you’re spending on something.

Nobody is so consumed with life that they can’t carve out time for brotherhood, growth, or something bigger than themselves.

“I’m busy” has become the Muslim version of “Insha’Allah” when the intention is to brush something off.

We’ve all heard it.

We’ve all probably said it.

And we all know what it really means.

The man who says he’s too busy is often the same man sitting on his couch, scrolling through TikTok or grinding mobile games at midnight.

No judgment on downtime, every man needs it.

But don’t hide behind a word that makes you sound important when you’re just avoiding commitment.

This is exactly why we don’t move collectively as an ummah.

Every man is an island, scratching for his own, too “busy” to invest in anything beyond himself.

The Stronghold isn’t for busy men.

It’s for men who are honest about where their time actually goes, and willing to redirect some of it toward something that matters.

If that’s not you, no hard feelings.

But don’t tell me you’re busy
